Ground Up Ghana is a sustainable food manufacturing social enterprise that is creating healthy, tasty food ingredients and snacks from underutilized, climate resilient, environmentally friendly crops sourced from small-scale female farmers in northern Ghana.
Current products include low-sugar Ghanattii crackers/cookies in three flavors (Cinnamon, Baobab - Moringa, Fruity); Gingersnap cookies; protein rich baking flour blend; porridge mix; and cleaned, ready-to-cook Bambara beans. All products are naturally gluten-free and a good source of protein and other nutrients. The main ingredients include Bambara beans, sorghum, millet, baobab fruit, and moringa. Our products are created with love for positive impact at our FDA approved facility in the Eastern Region by a small, dedicated team of young women.
